April Training

In April, I was able to fly down to Orlando Florida for about a week and a half for the last part of training to be an overseas missionary to the jungles of Peru.

I was so blessed to have wonderful roommates:

Kayly just quit her job with Campus Crusades and is moving to China in the end of July.

Emily just left her job to work with a team in Europe in August.

The training consisted of preparing us in great detail for different trials and situations we will face overseas. We learned about the many cases of abuse that happen in foreign countries, we discussed ways to best handle conflict, and how to best make first impressions among the natives.

I feel so prepared for this journey. We met with our financial advisors, team leaders, and even the “life coaches” that pioneers assigned to us.

We took personality tests and discussed in detail our personalities along with our personal strengths and weaknesses. It was an amazing time of growth and self development.

When I get overseas, everything will be tested and pushed to the limits. Learning about our different gifts will be vital because to succeed and excel we must work as a team.

July will be here before we know it. :)
