To best learn of the heritage and history of Peru and it's people, we took an 11 hour bus ride south to Cusco to check out the Inca villages and towns. We expected to see ancient cities and to hear stories of the ancient gods and religious beliefs of the people, but to my surprise this journey allowed me to see the heart and soul of Peru. Through this journey, i saw the heart ache of the people, the sorrows of sacrificing animals and lives to false gods, and the joys of worshiping nature. i truly fell in love with this people group- so lost and without hope. i felt in the tiniest way that i for a moment i could see through God's eyes the people that He so delicately created. i am forever changed.
